The houses are semi-detached high performance buildings utilising the principles of high levels of insulation, air tightness and mechanical ventilation with heat recovery. The design aims to keep energy bills for heating and electricity as low as possible. The McFarlane Partnership were Principal Designers responsible from inception to detail design and technical specification. We worked closely with the Executive Architects, MBH Architects who acted as contract administrators for the construction phase.
